At Large, Post 1 of the Austell City Council on November 5, 2013
Dear Austell Neighbor,
After two years of encouragement from friends and neighbors, along with much prayer and discussion with my wife, I qualified to run for the At Large, Post 1 of the Austell City Council on August 27, 2013. This is a citywide position that represents all the citizens of Austell.
My wife Valerie and I have been married for eighteen years. We moved to Austell eight years ago and live with our two daughters in the Bishops Run Subdivision. I also have three adult children who live in Springfield MA, College Park, GA, and Los Angeles, CA. Since moving to Austell, l have been very involved with our community and the city. I served our community as President of the home owners Association from 2005 – 2007 and from 2010 to the present. I began attending the City Council meetings soon after moving in and still do today.
I have served as a Deacon and now as the Head Elder of the Berean SDA Church. I serve on the Finance Committee and help administer a two million dollar budget. I am Vice Chair of the Berean Christian Junior Academy, and I also serve on the 501(c)3 non-profit board for Berean Village, a Senior Retirement Community.
