Ollie Clemons

At Large, Post 1 of the Austell City Council on November 5, 2013

Ollie Clemons

Dear Austell Neighbor,

After two years of encouragement from friends and neighbors, along with much prayer and discussion with my wife, I qualified to run for the At Large, Post 1 of the Austell City Council on August 27, 2013. This is a citywide position that represents all the citizens of Austell.

My wife Valerie and I have been married for eighteen years. We moved to Austell eight years ago and live with our two daughters in the Bishops Run Subdivision. I also have three adult children who live in Springfield MA, College Park, GA, and Los Angeles, CA. Since moving to Austell, l have been very involved with our community and the city. I served our community as President of the home owners Association from 2005 – 2007 and from 2010 to the present. I began attending the City Council meetings soon after moving in and still do today.

I have served as a Deacon and now as the Head Elder of the Berean SDA Church. I serve on the Finance Committee and help administer a two million dollar budget. I am Vice Chair of the Berean Christian Junior Academy, and I also serve on the 501(c)3 non-profit board for Berean Village, a Senior Retirement Community.

I support…

- OPEN, HONEST GOVERNMENT. QUALITY SERVICES FOR ALL CITIZENS

(Fire, Police, Streets, Sanitation, Water and Parks)

- AUSTELL’S FAIR SHARE OF COUNTY AND STATE MONEY

- BETTER COMMUNICATION WITH CITIZENS AND COUNTY GOVERNMENT MAINTAINING LOW TAXES.

- OUR CITY LEADERS AND EMPLOYEES

I pledge to work with our City leaders, employees and citizens on a daily basis. We MUST have a vision for positive growth and development of our community which will protect our quality of life.

I am running because I believe it is time for us to bring a fresh perspective to Austell City Government, some new energy that will work incredibly hard on behalf of every citizen.

I consider public service a sacred trust and will work hard to merit your continuing support. Please give me your vote on Tuesday, November 5th.

Sincerely,

Ollie Clemons, Jr.
